I noticed in the album "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" by Bright Eyes there is the reference to the "yellow bird" in more than one song. I have no idea where it came from and it has been bugging me, because I would like to know where it came from...but maybe I'm not supposed to know and just draw my own conclusions...
