Dropping off the face of the earth

I manage to do it so well!

Ugh. Work has been disastrous. I've consistently been working late, working on weekends, getting screwed by west coast clients that set up conference calls at 8:00pm EST and then cancel the call at 8:20pm, being stretched thin because we have more work than we have hands (and then our numbers were halved by the Jewish holidays -- thank goodness everyone is back tomorrow), etc. etc. In fact, I am sitting in front of my laptop (at home thankfully) waiting for one of the partners to send me edits on a letter that I drafted for her to send to a client today. I was at the office until 11:30pm last night and dragged myself in by 7:30am this morning to get this thing to her by 10am. She started working on my letter sometime after 8pm and called me multiple times at home tonight to ask questions. And what a hectic night it was! I came home at 8:15pm, my friend Claire came over to tag her items for our first ever garage sale that we're having on Saturday, Adam had the game on super loud, he whipped together a dinner of Trader Joe's General Tso's chicken over rice, preceded by handfuls of edamame, which I ate standing in my dining room (currently a storage space for yard sale items) while helping Claire price items, fielding calls from the boss on the phone, and logging onto my laptop perched on a pile of junk so that I could look for missing info for the letter to the client. Wow -- look at how bad my grammar is! Just reflects the state of mind.
