Isaiah 40:
3 Hark! one calleth: 'Clear ye in the wilderness the way of the LORD, make plain in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the rugged shall be made level, and the rough places a plain;
5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.'
I said before that this verse is a verse of Action. It is also a verse of Words, of Prophecy. Clear a way, why? Because the glory of the Lord will be revealed. Why will it be revealed? Because the mouth of the Lord has spoken. When G-d speaks, things happen. The Hebrew letter Pe is literally the Mouth. This is where Words and Prophecy come from, the Pe of G-d.
Isaiah 40 (first half of verse 6):
6 Hark! one saith: 'Proclaim!' And he saith: 'What shall I proclaim?'
Isaiah 40:
9 O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up into the high mountain; O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah: 'Behold your God!'
When we find the message in the Silence, it's always the same: "Behold your G-d!". All messages point back to the Divine. Whenever we are sent to speak, it is to proclaim and point the way to the Divine, to clear a way in the wilderness. The Action is clearing; the Prophecy is "Behold!". This is one literal meaning of the letter Heh, "Behold!".
