If Blood is Yang, Fluids are Yin.
Fluids are the other fluids in the body besides Blood. Sweat, saliva, gastric juices, tears, urine, etc. The Chinese term is Jin-Ye. Jin are the lighter and cleaner Fluids. Ye is the heavier, thicker Fluids. Fluids moisten, and, to a lesser extent, nourish the hair, skin, membranes, orifaces, flesh, muscles, Inner Organs, joints, brain, marrows, bones. Fluids are seen as less refined and essential than Blood, Jing, Qi, and Shen. The time frame for the activities of Fluids tend to be minutes, hours, or days, much less than those of the other textures.
Qi is used to create the Fluids, and the Fluids nourish and moisten the Organs which produce the Qi. Fluids combine with food and air to produce Blood.
The Lungs are said to control the Jin Fluids, Moving them to the skin and muscles which needs them. The Triple Burner controls the transformations and movement of the Jin Fluids.
Ye Fluids circulate with the Yin Qi. They are transformed by the Spleen and Kidneys, and are moved and excreted by the Middle and Lower Burner.
