Since Misha has a tendency to either come to a point or lunge at passersby while they go by (mostly because he thinks everyone should love him) and a 70 pound dog coming at you even while leashed usually makes people go around me, I don't worry, but yeah.
The selfishness sucks.
I explained to my sister that the mask protects others, not her.
You'd think that having 80 lbs of dogs with me would do it, but it's spread out over 2 doggos who are short and adorable-looking, so not so threatening. I mean, even before now it's a good idea to give strange dogs a wide berth, so these women were extra-clueless.
I'm yelling sooner next time. *nods firmly*
Well done you attempting to explain things, because SO MANY PEOPLE don't get how PPE works. *hugs*
I mean, if an Amazon reviewer had nice things to say, it MUST be good!
On behalf of joggers everywhere, I'd like to apologize. I'm super pissed off by people who don't make an effort to slide to the side. I think there's a 10-foot bubble on the run, so if each of us sidesteps by 5, we're good. HOW MANY PEOPLE DO THIS? Very, very. few...
*who is definitely not my mom posting some words I gave her
The ad really isn't bad if you remove all the words apart from the blurb (including the attribution thereof). *sporfle*
Eh, most joggers give us a very wide berth, like the one we encountered on mid-day walkies today when Clara decided to flop in the shade of a tree and refused to move. I try to always yell a quick "thank you!" to people who do. But those two women were galling.
We all have days like this I think - I get soooo mad at the folks not wearing masks. I hope you'll be back to your cheery delightful self soon!
Yesterday I went to Smart & Final (and scored some flour, wooooooohooooo!) and as I was leaving a young couple asked the door security guy if his mask was from an anime and it was and they fell into a really happy conversation about anime and that made me really happy for some reason. A tiny positive in this world of fucking hells. :P
The rest of the week has been much better, thankfully! And yeah, people without masks are infuriating, but less so when they don't actually come up to you.
Hoory for flour and delightful moments of human interaction! Hear hear in re: the positives we can find. I get to Zoom with my family today, so that's definitely a good one!

AND all the joggers I've encountered today went around me and gave me and the dogs plenty of room. <3
