Long time since I last posted
I haven't posted in ages but I have a pretty good excuse, my new HP laptop has been in the shop for over five weeks getting the hard drive replaced. And guess what? After five long weeks being worked on it is still not working right. Just today it has shut down without any warning and rebooted. I am so disappointed in this HP, I should have stuck with Dell but I wanted something different and boy am I sorry I changed brands.
Anyway, life has been sort of quiet around here. Last weekend Bruce, Katie, Josh, MIchael and Dan drove down to Houston and did an Anime Hell show at Atsuicon. From what everyone has told me, the con ran out of money and no one was sure if they even had a room on Saturday but thankfully the congoers and two other Houston cons tossed in some cash and saved the con from shutting down. How cool is that? Anyway, I know Bruce and Katie had a good time. I haven't really had a chance to talk to the others about their experience.
While the Arlington crew was down in Houston, Hans and I joined my mom and went to visit my aunt Prim in OK City. We had a really good time. Got to shop at some thrift stores and got a cool Alaska state plate to hang up in my kitchen. I also got to spend some quality time with my aunt Prim and that was fun. She has also fallen under the cuteness spell baby Hans radiates. She couldn't believe how he never cries and sleeps so well through the night. I tried to set her straight that he does cry but she wouldn't believe it. Anyway, Hans had a good time and got some more clothes at the Gap outlet in Gainesville on the way home. Because anyone who knows me knows that my poor child has no clothes. He has to wear the same onesy day after day it is so pitiful.... Not, that kid has almost more clothes than my mom and that says a lot.
Speaking of Baby Hans, today is his five month birthday. It is hard to believe that five months ago I waddled into Arlington Memorial and came out with a big old baby boy. Since then my life has been full of chaos but I wouldn't change it for the world. I cannot believe how much I love that little squirt. Sure I don't sleep as much as I used to and it seems like I never finish anything I start but it doesn't bother me. Even when he pukes or pees all over me I am still pretty enamored by him. I am still trying to get over the fact it took me so long to have a kid. I wish I could have a houseful of babies but because of my age I am hoping god will bless me with one more.
