(no subject)
soo... i went and got my laptop yesterday! (although i don't plan on using it until christmas, because it is the only present i am gonna get for christmas from either of my parents...)
i was gonna get a toshiba, but i ended up getting something different because they explained the fact that the one i actually end up getting would be better for school since it is set up to be compatible with newer software that will be coming out, where as the one that i was gonna get had a processor in it that came out three years ago, so it wouldn't be as good for that kind of stuff. and the one i got is lighter, so that will be a plus when carrying it around campus. i think it's an hp sentario or something like that.... it has the same size memory and hard drive as the toshiba i was gonna get,and most of the same features, but the screen is just a little bit smaller (.4in), and it has a newer processor (celeron). not that i know what the processor does exactly, but evidently this one is better... however, it also has a 6 in 1 digital media card reader that the other computer didn't have, so i can load pictures directly from my digital camera's memory card to the computer w/ out the USB cord (and without draining my batteries on my camera... :) ooo... and it burns double-layer dvds, which hold 2x's as much stuff as a normal disc (because they have 2 layers to store data on...)!!
ok, spiel is over.
need to find another way to kill time before i need to leave for class... (which doesn't start till 11, but i'm up early cuz i had to run to the bank for mom. and now that i've already run that errand, i have nothing else to do until about 10:15...)
