This is to the request of one desperate lady... Yeah, I'm aware that it's been nearly two weeks or something like that since I last wrote in... Ah, my failful few... Well, other than spring testing, theres not much to talk about. Well, I could talk about a lot of stuff like school, college, relationships, and what-not... But, for once, I think I'll spare you guys the trouble. But there is something that I must do. hehehe, I picked up this new game last week, real kick-arse. It's called Phantasy Star Online episode III C.A.R.D. revolution. It's the coolest video-game card based game. oh yeah, you heard that right. It's a card game, you'd think the name would give that away... Yeah, well before you toss this one aside realize this... This aint Yu-gi-oh I'm talking about here. This makes pokemon look about as interesting as your last nights supper as it exits your digestive track... eew... But anyway... But before I get to all the eye-candy and drop dead interactive battle system, and to-die-for sound the only draw back... it is currently only for the Nintendo Gamecube... Will it make the jump to other consoles later? Who knows. But if it does, one thing is curtain... it wont be half as good for them as it was for GC, all ports are. Nintendo has a way of punishing those who don't support its brain child.
Now, before I break all your hearts, heres the good stuff. The graphics are sweet, superb, the best I have seen in ages. Sonic team also has a way with producing exquisit material. It's previous two PSOs were kick-arse enough, but with this new development it just got a whole world better. Also, this III episode is supposed to be the finale for this three part series. Sonic team was a master at giving only tidbits of a story at a time. But, they are worth it. PSO is known, if not for anything else than for its addicting quest for newer rarer items and for battling rare enemies, and rasing mags and all the cool stuff, you know slashing and hacking and watching your enemies melt into rendered puddles of muck. But all that is done away with in this new instalment. You no longer quest in four insanely long and difficult modes, with some 25+ quests and missions, and raise the ever cute mags. Now everything is done on cards. GO figure... You start with a basic deck that suits wichever side you choose, dark or hero. Dark battle using monsters, hero battle using items and weapons. But there all in the form of cards. Here's the sweet deal of it though, when a dark dude plays a monster card, he summons it onto the battle field. That alone is pretty cool. The hero, when he equips a weapon card in digitizes into his or her hands. Wich is pretty neat to watch too, no matter what side you watching it from. But after a while it gets pretty normal, and you get used to watching stuff appear out of computer data. Nonetheless, the environments are superbly designed, the battle is extremely addictive, and the quest for rare items is replaced by a quest for rare cards and is just as addicting as well. If you liked any of those other card games like yu-gi and pokemon and magic, yes, I said magic, then you would definately love this game. However, you still need to purchase a Gamecube if you don't already have one. Oh, and uh, you should be extremely careful, it is highly addictive. It shows no remorse. I played through nearly five hours straight without actually realizing it, and multiplayer functions rock. It is the best party game, well, one of the best. It might take too long to play at a party, but if you and a couple of buddies are just sitting around, it wouldn't hurt to pop it in and start it up. Or you could just dedicate a whole saturday to lounging and knocking the mess out of monsters and stuff with cards. Trust me, if you are a gamer and appreciate the value of such graphic art then you should consider palying this game. It is one investment that wont disapoint you...

Munchy . . .
