Beautiful Day to be a Michigander!

It's so nice today, and yesterday, I had to say something about it. :)

This past week started out pretty lousy, but got much better towards the end of the week. I had a lot of makeup stuff to catch up on from missing days, because I was sick. And I was just feeling kind of down. I think I'm finally caught up with most stuff.

So, Thursday night I went to band practice. This was not one of our better practices. The director was a bit nitpicky and seemed kind of grumpy. We were all glad to get out and go home.

Friday I went over to Katie's and got to see Judith too! We all went over to Betsy's play, and I was soooo impressed!!!!!!They did such an awesome job! Jessica F. was the main character, and it was such a good play. We all went to Antonios after, but, of course it was closed. So we went over to McDonalds, and it was fun to sit and talk with everybody.

Saturday we celebrated Sheri's b-day with family. That is the family that came. It's kind of sad...for some reason some members of my dad's side of the family never show up to our b-day parties, even though we usually go to theirs. But we had a great time anyway...we played softball in the back yard and had cake and ice cream.

Today I went to church, of course! lol :) I love singing in our choir so much. Next week I'm going to try to bring my clarinet to play. We are getting so many people joining the choir and our church! It's growing so much! We are building on too, so there will be more room for more people. I spoke to Bill, my choir director about piano lessons. He said he has something like 30+ people he gives lessons to, he also teaches a class at a school. It's expensive for lessons...but maybe by fall I'll have enough saved to take them, and he comes to the house, so I don't have to worry about gas, plus he's cheaper than anyone I know of.

Still looking into being a nun. I'm going on another retreat in May, and possible down to Ohio to visit another group of sisters...we'll see. Hopefully I can make it all in one trip. Hopefully my car can make it! lol :) God willing...I'm trying to save up as much money as possible...I'm hoping to be able to get a different car with less miles and hopefully newer than a 1987 like the car I have now. I've been taking my lunch to school and not buying anything I don't need if I can help it. I also want to save up to go to a spanish speaking country to study abroad, at least for a semester, maybe I can get a scholarship too.

So, yeah, I'm joining weight watchers. I just can't seem to lose the weight on my own. It's so hard sometimes...Hopefully this will help. It's like I always end up loosing it in the summer, doing good, then winter comes and I gain it all back, sometimes more. I need to keep it off and keep losing! My mom said she'd go with me the first time or so, since I've never been to something like this before. I can even keep going in the summer since I go on sat. mornings and I'll be home from camp. Please pray for me about this.

I'm watching Brent outside riding in his "jeep." He's so cute running around out there. I am so thankfull God has placed him in our family. He's given us so much laughter...We love him so much. It's amazing what you learn from little kids, he's taught me a lot! :)

Well, better get dinner started and finish up the homework. Thanks for listening guys, and it means so much to me to hear your commments and to know your there for me. I'm always here for you if you ever want to call or talk. 3am, doesn't matter.

Your Sister in Christ,
Chrisitna
