what's up

hey everybody,

Last saturday I attended a retreat at St. Stanislaus (St. Stan's) in Saginaw. It was pretty cool, Liz came with me. There were three main speakers talking on the media today, and different aspects of the catholic faith, which I found very interesting. Among the speakers, was Katie O'Mara from TV-5. Her's was probably the best testimony/talk. She told how she converted 10 years ago, went to Medjugorie, and some aspects of her current life. One thing she really emphasized was that, nothing is coincedence. Everything is done according to God's plan.

There was also a really beautiful singer there named Cori Gibson, she had a concert friday night which we didn't go to, but we did get to hear her sing a little bit during mass, and Bishop Carlson conducted it. She sounded a bit like Celine Dion, you just didn't want to stop listening to her. All in all it was a bit long to sit during the sessions, but I learned a lot, and it was good to just take a day out for God.

On the home front, lol, I seem to be doing ok. I've finally decided to give all my worries about the future up to God, which is a constant struggle at times. I know that God will take care of everything, my summer job, getting into the nursing program, recieving enough funds for college, keeping my car going or providing a new one, He'll make it work.

I'm so thankful for all I've been given. I have a wonderful family even through all our faults, great friends, and I'm alive. Easter is coming...what a great renewal...of faith, the earth, and a new beginning of this next phase in my life after I graduate from Delta.

I hope you all are enjoying this time in your life. Remember, it's better to just, simply, be happy!
