Hey all,
Well, I seem to be getting back on the right track with everything. The first few weeks of school is always stressful. I think on top of that and a bunch of other stuff I was kinda losing it. But I'm good now lol!
My friend Katie and I have joined the local community center. It's nice to have someone there to keep you going. We go there 3 times a week to workout. They have a fitness center and a nice track above the gym. (Much less expensive than Delta's fitness center). I really need to lose some weight, and I know that exercise is key. It really makes me feel better too. That's one of the things I loved about playing tennis, you got the workout, plus it's so much fun! I miss it....can't wait for spring so i can rush to the courts and hit some with sheri. Anyone else who'd like to join just let me know!
My church (St. Agnes) has just completed the addition that expaneded it to fit our growing parish. We had mass for the first time their yesterday. It's so big! I couldn't believe the difference. It looks really nice, and we have a baptismal font and a whole new section for the choir (i love to sing! lol) and a great sound system. I'm excited :-D The Bishop is coming in March to do a dedication ceremony and to bless the new church. We're doing a contemporary christian concert, and some of those songs we'll be doing at the 10am mass for the dedication. (I'll let you all know when the concert is so you can come if you want!)
Things at home seem to be going ok. We rearranged our living room, it's generated some much needed space. But now the lower level of the addition is even more cluttered up. Who knows when that will get done. At least the upper level is finished. Sheri is still as busy as ever with school, mom is busy subbing and taking care of Brent, and Dad works a lot. I still want to do my best to get along better with him. I've never had the best relationship with my dad. I hope it'll get better as I grow older.
I've been thinking about what's going to happen after college. Only about two years left and I'll have my bachelor's in nursing. They have this really cool job where you can be a traveling nurse. They pay for the travel and a place for you to stay and you go accross the country working at different hospitals who are short staffed. I might do that for a while....but eventually i have a dream of being a missionary as a nurse. I know i need some training though. I don't want to lose that dream....somehow, God will guide me.
Isn't it strange to think of living on your own? I think after college, I'll probably stay at home for a while...eventually get an apartment perhaps. A house is too much, too expensive, too permanate. I plan on traveling a lot, and it wouldn't make sense to have a house. It's so crazy to move forward at this point in my life. I Still can hardly believe that I'm almost done with college, it really does go by fast. Sheri's graduating this year. We are both thinking of going to Grand Valley...might room together, if I can convince her! It would be so much easier if we did. The truth is though niether of us really knows where we're going, it's all dependant on the money, for the most part.
Well, I've talked long enough here. Hope you all are doing well. :)
Love you guys,
Christina
