and it feels so gooood
ok me and akil got back together last week friday. he apologized for wat he said. we were talking online (in the same room mind u) and he apologized. when we were alone after our friend left he came over and gave me a big hug. so we talked about stuff, just trying to get back into the sync of tings. so we stayed in the office for about 2 hours talking, and he showed me how to correctly hold a bat and the correct stance for baseball/softball and showed me how to hit. we left together cuz he was meeting his friends in manhattan and i didn't feel like doing open volleyball. so we were walking to my train and he asked me wat does he have to do to get me to go back out with him. i told him that his apology was a start and that pink roses doesn't hurt either. he asked, "what if i got tickets to a broadway play?" i told him that i'd be jumping up and down like an excited little girl. the he asked, "what if i do this?" and just turned around and kissed me. smooth aint he? lol. yeah so newayz thats how we got back together. he took me into manhattan to chill w/his friends. we all went to unos cuz we all got there too late for the 8:30 showing. after unos, me and akil went on to see the movie...we saw "9 songs" at the angelika theatre. its pretty interesting. its about this couple who bond over music, and sex. it has alot of sex scenes so many ppl interpret it as a porn flick, while others see the love story. both me and akil saw the love story. good times y'all...good times.
we've been pretty much chilling with each other all week. on monday, the 2 of us and his friend norman (our "son" lol...and norman is older than me) went to bryant park and saw "the treasure of the sierra madre." we had mad fun. the blanket i bought was too small for the 3 of us. norman took up most of us w/me and akil gettin all close and cuddly. on tuesday, he was going to hang w/norm so he took me to the junction and that was that. on wednesday, it was us and norm again in manhattan. we went to see "war of the worlds". it wasn't horrible but certain parts was stupid, especially the end. yesterday we went to manhattan and walked around a bit. today, the trio would be back together buuut, me and my mom are at it again w/the the whole threatening to lock me out/kick me out (she took the key to the bottom lock and mailbox key). yeah...wutever. we were gonna go to bryant park again on monday (me and akil...norm is going back to dc on monday....hez visiting there for the summer) but i have volleyball practice from 6-9pm...although we won't be missing much, its hard to find a spot to sit at that time. its better to go like 2-3 hours in advance. darnit, and its the odd couple :-(. ah well, we can rent it.
volleyball season is back and i'm ready to go. we have a new coach this year. hez much more laid back than our coach last year but, we'll see how that does in regards to how together the team is and our spirit. we had a meeting yesterday, mens and womens. women's is getting a new uniform and it looks pretty cute. we're getting sneakers and socks too (the type where we can wipe our shoes on too lol). but yo..this man is crazy. starting monday, we have almost daily practices at 7am. on monday and tuesday we have practice twice a day!!!! but monday the 2nd practice is tryouts, so i'm not really required there (imma have my picnic blanket ready just incase we can go to bryant park :-D). i really need a duffel bag cuz i need to start carrying my clothes with me (hey, with practices that early, imma start showering at nite, rolling out of bed and getting dressed in the morning and shower after practice). i need to buy cheap shower gel and another loofah. i have a towel at school from last season but i used it like no more than 3 or 4 times.
i...have short hair!! not extremely short (a la halle berry). a kind of short bobish...my hair is about chin length, maybe a lil shorter (it is in front tho..). i was worried i wouldn't look right in short hair but i like it. i'm not intending to keep my hair short but i needed a fresh start. my har was breaking terribly so i wacked it off in march like a week before my b-day (i had my last perm in february) and started getting braids. i last got braids in like late june and took them out last friday. i got my hair re-permed (yo, girls...fab-u-laxer is great!!!) and trimmed and even my akil, who is usually against short hair and was going oy vey when i mentioned that i was gonna have short hair, likes it (or hez just lying to keep another conflict from happening). my hair is short, cute and perky...just like me :-D.
