The idea of school

Yale has given me alot of school work but it has also given me the opportunity to meet so many great and amazing people.
I have always been one who enjoys hearing different viewpoints from people and I am very fortunate to have had the chance to do so tonight, at Blue State Coffee.

We talked about China's foreign policies, its history from the 15th century to present time, the balance of power and what it means for Singapore, Singapore's defence and social policies and their underlying political imperatives and their consequence on morality. We were just supposed to get ice cream and coffee but it translated to what I found was a very interesting discussion. School provides the opportunities to gain knowledge not only from lectures and classes, but also from the people whom you meet outside of these classrooms and I feel extremely blessed to be able to do all these, where opportunities to learn are abundant.

Maybe this sudden revelation/self-reflection is because of the euphoria from the end of all my mid terms, or maybe because I watched a really intense volleyball match today, or it may be because I had very good char kway teow for dinner.

Whatever the cause, extremely thankful.

& I am going to Brown tomorrow, and getting to meet Lucas makes me feel a little bit nostalgic for the days back in VJ. Is this ironic?
