What a long strange trip it's been
Some days I just don't understand what's going on. Last week, Mommy got me up very early. Daddy was up too, which almost never happens. Everybody seemed very sad, but I was all excited because I got to go for a car ride! Then it was a long trip in a plane. I think I remember being in a plane before, but it's been a while. It's kind of boring, because there's not much room to run around, but mommy kept me supplied with new books and crayons. After a long time we got to a house that I kind of recognized. There are lots of stairs here and when they aren't gated off, I love to go up and down them. It seems to make Mommy and Daddy nervous though.
There are strange people here, Shaanon, Tu, Dadid and Kisti. However, they do a pretty good job of entertaining me. Unfortunately, Bapa, Grandma, Bobbye and Henri have all been absent. There are a few other new friends here. One favorite is "baby", my own little one. I like to feed her, put her in her swing, change her diaper and make sure she gets lots of kisses from my stuffed animals. There are also two new kitties that like to run away from me. Don't they know that all I want to do is to pet them?
Last Sunday, there was a little boy over here, and he brought some neat toys, but he wouldn't let me play with all of them. Doesn't he know that everything I see is mine? His name was Matt, but for some reason he didn't pick be up and bounce me on tiger. I thought that's what people named Matt do. Very strange.
All the grownups around here keep yammering about how big my vocabulary is. What's the big deal? I feel a need to talk. Heck, they can't even understand half of what I say anyway.
Mommy, Daddy and I go for walks almost every day, but I haven't been on a bike ride in over a week. I feel a need to for speed!
Friday I got to open up a box, and Henri was in it! Today, I got to open another box and it was full of toys and books. I hope that tomorrow I can open the other box in the living room. I hope that Bapa, Grandma and Bobbye are in it. Then everything would be perfect.
