(no subject)
so basically the spring musical was just announced. hello dolly. i was pretty surprised, considering it is definitely my favorite musical and it had never even crossed my mind.
i started thinking about who i could be. i couldn't do vandergelder. i would absolutely love to do cornelius. or even barnaby. those are the top 3 guys in my mind, and i figured the top 3 guy lead contenders are graham, sam, and me. so i figured we would somehow fill those in. but then my mom said that adam p will get vandergelder... which is extremely likely. which makes cornelius and barnaby graham and sam, and knocks me down. so i am hoping now for ambrose. and i think i would do him really really well. really. its just too bad he is such a minor part. and it makes me mad that adam p will get a bigger part than me in a musical, considering he can't sing or dance. nor act anything but an angry old man. but he is damn good at that angry old man. and vandergelder is an angry old man.
so i am really excited. i know that show by heart - i could sing you every song word for word right now. and the music is so awesome and theres tons of dancing and its really fun. so i can't wait.
i am a little concerned that this will erode my liking of the show. it has always been so fun and i loved it, and i hope that 3 months of work on it and seeing my friends in the roles and having everyone around me sing it will not make it any less magical. we'll see.
