get the eff outta my cube!
Training a new assistant is awesome. We’ve been training her for like 4 weeks now and she pretty much knows what she’s doing most of the time. Which is great! But… none of the other b’s in this office do work. SO they have no work to give to her. So she just does my job all day. Which is wonderful for me I guess… because I get to sit and read my new book and pretend like I’m “training” her.
However, I come in today at 9 am, and she’s sitting in my cube… not her own. And she’s doing my job… It’s just a pain. Why am I coming in to work again? I don’t understand. I like working by myself, in my own cube, surfing the net at my leisure and working at my own pace. Now I feel like I have someone I have to entertain or something. I mean, she’s great. I like her a lot, but damn… what happened to my job!?!?! Oh well… 3 weeks and I’m outta this piece.
Good news: I had a kashi bar and a large Red Bull for breakfast. Mmmmmm excellent.
