It just occurred to me...

...that Zenyatta now holds the record for North America's richest mare. Her win yesterday put her $1.4 million over Azeri's record. I'm glad it was Z who did it and not Ashado.

Wow!

So this has been rolling around in my head a long time, I think someone with a very slow tbred gelding needs to declare a match race against cigar to get his winnings up to 10 million, it's less than $200, if we sold tickets at Breyerfest for a dollar each, he could have won 10 million!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, just had to share, I know it's not really possible or rational and that my head shouldn't be allowed to have ideas.

I think that would be excellent. Maybe make the purse a bit higher so he can beat Curlin back into anonymity. >:D

OOH! It'll probably sell for more than I can afford, but it's on my watch list. :D

quick artsy question, You wouldn't know anything about being able to air brush bisque horses and firing them would you? Think it would be possible? (just me dreaming and scheming at new art projects)

Yep, it's totally do-able. I don't know a great deal about it, but I gather it sometimes involves griding pigments and making your own ceramic paints essentially, at least for over-glazing anyway. There may even be off-the-shelf glazes available. I know a fair number of the model horse china artists airbrush their work---you might try joining the "Breakables" yahoo group---it's model horse specific, but they might have some info for you on where to start. :)
