The Darkness
Holy crap!!How old can I be? The Darkness appeared here last night at Soma and boy can they rock--but crap---Soma is the armpit of Hell!!
It was so hot and I felt so claustrophic I was starting to pass out in there. I crawled along to the side of the wall and got to some exit steps where I could sit down and get some fresh air and I felt better. I stayed to finish the music, but I could barely get more than a few glimpses of them. I usually don't feel short, but last night I felt like a midget. Very strange. Also, another new development at this point in my life was that I used ear plugs. I took them out when they were talking and popped either one or both in while playing. It was kind of odd, but in some ways better. I tend to get a lot of reverberation in my ears and with the plugs, I didn't. No headache today--no deafness last night--I like it.Marisa snagged some incredible things-- made out like a bandit--I think it's still sinking in. She has some incredible mementoes and she actually got to hug and kiss Dan. Her opinion of Justin changed somewhat, as he did not seem quite as nice as she thought he was--but clearly, there was something wrong behind the scenes and I think that affected his mood. I'm glad I went--but I would only do it for them--and I'm never going back to Soma again.
