So we have a title for 4.22. It's "Lucifer Rising."
It's also a 2.5 hour car ride from Hastings to Omaha, and yesterday kicked off my spring break. What's a fangirl to do when driving across Nebraska for 2.5 hours? Talk to herself, of course.
Thursday night, I realized that season 2 was bookended by death - John's and Sam's, respectively. I'd never actually noticed that before. In the car, I realized that season 4 will be bookended by resurrection - Lazarus' and Lucifer's.
So here's what I think (pure speculation, of course). What if Dean is both? He was the Lazarus in 4.01, and could it be possible that he's the Lucifer, too? He was, after all, the one who broke the forst Seal (4.16). Who's to say he'll be the same after torturing Ali?
It's relaly no secret by this point that I want Dean to be Lucifer's vessel. I think it would be a neat twist to the story (the angels keep trying to stop Sam from using his powers because that would make him a more tempting home for the Devil, but in the end the one who broke the first Seal will be chosen), and Jensen would knock it out of the park!
ETA: I just what else I was going to post. Related to 4.16: a possibility for Dean's purpose and why he was kept in Hell so long. 30 years of torture and 10 of torturing. He studied under Alistair's tuteledge (sp?) and became an expert torturer. Now he's the one carving up Alistair now that the angels have captured him.
My theory: Alistiar is Hell's high inquisitor. What if Dean was pulled from the Pit to become Heaven's?
So that's my rambly post. Comment if you dis/agree!
