*le sigh*
So I'm on scholarship for speech, right? And the requirements say that you have to have 2 speeches in first semester and 3 in second semester to keep the scholarship and travel to tournaments as a freshman. I did that. My duo partner, however, did not. He's been writing an informative speech for the past four months. It's not done yet.
My last class today got out at 12. I need to go home this weekend because my dad needs to do some stuff to my comp. We signed up for a duo practice at 5:00 today because we need to practice (bottoming rounds won't win us any trophies). Yesterday, I went in to practice my Poetry program, and was told that if my partner didn't finish his info, we wouldn't have practice today.
So I called him. He's got 2.5 out of 5 paragraphs written. I figured that meant I could go home at noon, but NOOOOO. He's going to coach with the main coach on the team today (read: he's gonna write it at three). But he might not get it all done. So I may or may not be sitting around for four hours waiting to see if there's a reason I'm sitting around. And the coaches wonder why I seem so overjoyed today.
It's 1:30. I wonder what I'm going to do when I finish my (almost done) poly sci paper? Play guitar? Write fic? Fume? Perchance.
