Hey, remember that meta I wrote a while back on
Dean as a Christ figure? Well, I have some more evidence to back that up.
In 4.07, Uriel tells Sam that he was told twice not to use his abilities, and if he erred again, he would be smote. The first thing that popped into my mind was the fact that if Sam used his powers again after Dean had told him not to, it would be the third time. He would be denying his brother for a third time. (Luke 22:34).
I just thought it was interesting.
One another, fairly shallow note: I got Kripke’d. For slash. I wrote a story called
Deuteronomy and the final scene with Dean and Cas in the park made me scream (especially when Dean mentioned the swings). I also wrote a sequel to that story, called
Empire, where the question of Castiel’s free will comes up and he winds up being under Dean’s command. I swear, Kripke and I were separated at birth… by about 16 years!
