It's officially 2011 in Nebraska

I have this weird New Year's tradition, where I stay inside my house and write.  Last year my first sentence of 2010 was something about God's Enochian Bible in the book I was writing.  I have since finished that book and decided to start on the new one.  I'm in the process of editing #1, but I put it up for a while to do this:

"There’s a song by Counting Crows called Big Yellow Taxi."

That, my friends, is the first sentence of the first chapter of the Parousia section of Second Coming.  What a hook, huh?  *eye roll*

Whatever.  I'm sober and I accomplished something.  I have roughly 1/6 of the Daughters of man hard copy edited.  I have over 100 words toward the new book.  I have a solid idea for a third novel.  I just need an agent.  And a publisher.  Maybe I'll try hooking a Bachelor's in Writing and Religion at some point over the next year and a half, too, who knows?

I think 2011 is full of possibilities, and I hope it's great for everyone.

Happy New Year, guys.

holidays, real life
