Apartment Pictures!

Aug 25, 2010 13:22

I finally finished decorating my room and thought y'all might like to see what I did with the place.  There are still some blank spaces on the walls, but the school has a poster sale coming up in a couple of weeks, so those will disappear soon :)

So image-heavy it's not even funny. )

ramblings, real life, crack is whack (and tasty!), i don't even know, i majored in stupidity, college, *is creative*

Dude! How big is that apartment?? xD That actually looks like a HUGE room... and it's awesome \o/ I'm so jealous of all your posters and your Jacofer doll that's totally dry humping the Lost box :P *pokes his mole* I still love that they included it! And is your light switch seriously up that high? Because that's a hysterical light switch cover if that's true, LOL.

And where on earth did you get that picture on your desktop in such a big form? The one I have isn't that big O_O

Also? I want that lamp. Seriously :P Does your dad ever sell lamps? Wine bottle lamps are ingenious, but I have no clue how to make one without lighting my apartment on fire xD

Aaaaand... San Pellegrino FTW! \o/ I just bought a bigger bottle the other day and plan on getting the next biggest one next time I'm out. Yep, I have a bottle problem :P

It's about the size of a normal dorm room. The apartment has a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, four bedrooms, and awkward closets. It's pretty nice, actually, but it should be for what we pay for this school :\ The switch isn't actually that high. It's below him, by the hat and keys. Though I did consider cutting a hole in the picture, but thought that might be kinda tacky :D

I think aeon_entwinded had a post a couple of days ago with promo shots from the movie. I took that one and blew it up in photoshop, then did some effect-y thing to it so it looked more purposely blurry. I can re-save it and see if photobucket is done hating me if you want a copy.

The lamp is awesome, but I am a little afraid that it will set the apartment on fire. I don't always trust my father.

Wow, four bedrooms though? That's huge! Do you pay for rent too, or is that somehow included in tuition? I'm assuming not, but you never know... you did say it's an expensive school :P

Hey, tacky when it comes to Marksha is a good thing. A very very good thing. Although I doubt I could get myself away from the light switch at that point. Electricity bills would soar from my obsessive on and off switching xD

If it'll work on Photobucket I'd love to have a copy... it's a great picture, but the one I have was posted eons ago and is pretty small. Was the post she made with promos on a community, or on her journal or something? I'm not friends with her (although I admit I have no idea why since we seem to like the same things and I always wind up reading her stuff, lol) so that's probably how I missed it.

LOL! Your worry about your dad reminds me of Spencer on iCarly... did you see the one with the gummy bear lamp recently? Yeah xD

The apartments are on-campus, so it's in the tuition. It's also $100 cheaper a year than the dorms. The inclusion (of everything except books, really) is why it's so expensive. That, and it's private.

I already keep stopping and staring. Then running my finger suggestively over the switch at which he is pointing *growls*

Here it is! There are four promos in all. Each one is more epic than the last. And Here's the wallpaper. It's 1024x640. I tried saving it as a jpeg AND resizing it in photbucket. That's as big as it will let it get :(

The Gummy Bear lamp is one of the reasons I'm worried :\

Wow, everything except books? I can see why it's so expensive :P I can't believe the apartments are cheaper than the dorms though... that's crazy! The apartments seem WAY better. Do you have to pay utilities though, or are they included as well? We pay $755 a month for our two bedroom apartment... I can't even imagine what a four bedroom one would cost ( ... )

Everything. They cover utilities and maintenance and pretty much everything except food and supplies. Parking on campus is free, too. And I've learned to appreciate that, because I have friends who went to the state university and have to pay over $100 a semester just for parking. Of course, it'd cheaper over all (about what I pay with scholarships ( ... )

Daaaaang... yeah, parking is insane over here too. It's more than $100 per semester here, and that's just for ONE permit. That means you can park in one of the lots for free after that, but if you need to go across campus and use the other one? You have to either buy a permit for THAT parking garage too, or suck it up and pay the hourly rate which is insane anyway. And downtown East Lansing (the college town portion) is notorious for parking tickets... you can't park ANYWHERE on the streets without feeding a meter. There's literally no free parking in East Lansing. Really lousy too because it's a huge campus and full of all my favorite stuff to visit. We wind up paying a fortune in parking. Between $1.20 and $2.40 every time we go generally... which isn't much once, but when you go quite often it does add up ( ... )

Wow. That is insane. One of my friends wound up paying over $300 a semester for a permit to park in one of the garages on campus because she'd never had to park her car outside before. it's ridiculous.

A doll trying to play with himself... sounds like a fanfic I read once, where Cas really was built like a ken dolls and Dean was a little grossed out when he found out :)

I got freaked last night when I got out of the shower and he was giving me that look with his hand over his junk. I felt violated. Then overjoyed. The violated again.

When my dad was a kid, our neighborhood was still undeveloped and he didn't really have neighbors near-by and there were fields all around their house. He found what he thought was a spent bullet, stuck it in a crack in the driveway, and started hitting it with a hammer (yeah, IDK why, either). Long story short, it wasn't a used bullet and it went off and shot the top of his finger off. They had to go to the ER and get it sewn back on.

LMAO! That'd be a confidence boost for me, no matter how false... maybe I should decorate my bathroom in Marksha after all, starting with that shower curtain :P I do have my own in my bedroom, after all. I'd never want to leave. Right now the most attractive thing in my room is my Daniel Craig calendar xD ( ... )

My dad is special. My friends and I were just having that conversation the other day, actually. He's a special, special daddy.

I think I've caught the last five minutes of that one. I don't watch much TV during the school year because we watch DVDs or I'm at classes or doing homework.

But if you had Mark and Titus and they got drunk together, they'd probably make out. Hmmm.... that's an idea.

LOL! If I had the real Mark and Titus and they got drunk and started making out, I'd probably just get drunk and make out with them... I have enough beers in my system, I'm sure Titus would look pretty good to me xD You know... if I could ever take my eyes off Mark. Not likely.

Man, if I dream about that tonight I'm going to kick myself for even putting that thought in my head. I've been dreaming about Marksha enough lately... I don't need to add Titus to the mix :P

My dad is special, but in a bad way. A very bad way. In a, "I'm going to get drunk as soon as I wake up and drink a whole case of beer every day until I'm fall down drunk and can't speak... and I'm only going to eat one little bowl of cereal a day because beer is enough to sustain me... and then I'm going to spend all of my money on DVDs that I don't need because I'm retired and I don't have anyone I'll listen to that'll tell me not to," way. Sometimes I feel like the adult, I swear it :P

Really? Because I'd get out my camera, snap some pics, take some video, and then blackmail Mark into doing whatever I wanted. Mostly messing up while filming TV shows and movies. Maybe a little sexy party. then i would give him the tape after "accidentally" leaking it to the Lost Fans. Because if anyone deserves to see twincest in action, it's the Losties.

*shrugs* Maybe that's just me.

That's too bad about your dad. Mine is the "special" that you hear stories about and then hope to never become, but secretly envy because it's kind of awesome in a childish way.

Yep, my dad is irresponsible in all the worst ways. He was like that before my mom died too, so it's not like you can even say it's his bad way of grieving. I don't think he's even grieving at all anymore to be honest... I think he's having a blast having control of his finances :/ It's stupid, because my mom had to take ALL the money and not let him touch it because he'd blow it all... and she had to give him money to get beer and only allow him so many a day, because otherwise he'd drink it all in one sitting. AND she had to force him to eat because he'd just sit there and drink and say he wasn't hungry. Of course compared to all the drugs he did when he was younger (yeah, my parents were hippies) I guess drinking is the least of the problems. But still. When my mom died he panicked because he doesn't know how to pay the bills... so Hugh and I do it for him, so he doesn't mess it up. But then when we tell him he's spending too much and he has to really watch what he's doing because he's coming close to spending more than he's making ( ... )

Oh, wow. That sounds really horrible. I'm so sorry you have to put up with that and parent your own father.

My dad works a lot, so when I was a kid we didn't get much quality time or play time. And when we did get play time, it was usually the suffocation game (where he'd put a pillow over my face and hold it there until I gave up on struggling. it was more fun/terrifying than it probably sounds) or he'd chase me around the house with that doll I was terrified of. Interesting parenting style, to say the least. But he's my horror movie buddy, and he helps me out with my car and computer. I help him with photoshop and movie maker and such.

But the Losties would react negatively enough that it would be funny. Like when we gave them that convention video and their response was "Jacob said fuck! The world is ending!"

LOL! It's so hilarious and sad at the same time that they attach Mark to Jacob so much... if anything, the man is more like Lucifer xD I'm willing to believe Mark is more filthy minded than Misha... and that's saying A LOT. Misha practically lives in the gutter. I think Mark OWNS it :P ( ... )

Did I tell you my funny convention story about Misha and the gutter? I was standing in line to ask my question and a volunteer came through and said that the actor had chosen to have his questions screened because he didn't want to get asked anything too offensive. Then she didn't actually screen the questions. by the time I was two people away from the mi, she was flabbergasted. The line "Jared is fondling my balls with a broomstick" made her roll her eyes and realize that questions don't need to be screened; "he does this to himself, doesn't he?"

One of these days you'll have enough to move out to California and do everything you've ever wanted with your life. Until then, what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger, right?
