Wow, it almost seems like urbandictionary became wikipedia for a minute there when they waxed poetic about Nebraska xD

I'm disturbed my birth city is even on urbandictionary O_O Of course then again when I look at all the ghetto slang on the site, it's almost like Michiganders actually CREATED the damn thing :P

I think that's a legit song/poem/whatever about the state. Though why anyone would want to write anything about Nebraska... (coming from the girl who recently described it in text as "beautiful in its simplicity).

Now I have to look up Omaha.

Best one: A tumor on Nebraska's ass that will eventually consume the state.
Omaha will soon annex Lincoln and then move on to Scotts Bluff. If you move away from Omaha , Omaha comes and gets you. SO FUCKING TRUE.

LMAO! That's classic xD Sounds like Southgate, the city I grew up in... a tumor on Michigan's ass. Sounds like we both come from places that fail utterly :P

Sadly, they're spot on about Southgate too:

a suburb of detroit, michigan that is known for its large quantity of marijuana users, easy girls, and skateboarders. aka slutgate

Sadly, all true... and both teachers that got busted were my teachers at some point, and got busted when I went to the school xD

I'm convinced Omaha will one day take over Nebraska. We Elkhorn-ites (suburbs FTW!) had a major fight with the city a few years back when they annexed us and took our cops, firefighters, snowplows, and trash services. We've never had molest-y teachers (to my knowledge), but my junior year of high school there was a senior end-of-the-year party that made it onto CNN (maybe you remember the white dots running through the corn field after the cops showed up?). A bunch of kids got busted and lost their college scholarships. That's what we're known for. Drunk kids, pot, and hating the tumor that is Omaha.
