In other news, we saw Legion tonight. It was a laugh-a-minute for obsessive Super!freaks.
The characters resemble those in Super, Jess is there, and there are legit Super!references. For example, the number on the police car is 1127. 11:27 is the time of Mary's death. Mike has a special knife. There's a creepy girl in a dress. Angel-hosts are called "vessels" outright. And that fucking clock is on the wall. You know the one. It's in every episode. There's also an explosion used to buy the heroes some time and try to take out a threat. "It's A Wonderful Life' is playing on the TV. "Thank God, the angels are here < /sarcasm >" is basically the whole plot line.
Also, I ship Michael and Jeep, who is the Legion version of Dean. Awkward.
Overall, good movie. Kept me entertained for more than just the Super!bits. Liked that the things that looked like demon-possessed people were actually angel condoms. The end was a bit predictable, but still good. I do love me some angel!fights. Bullet-proof wings are also a plus. And the first shot with the shadows was excellently done (another brilliant Super!reference).
I definitely recommend it.
