Ugh, the forecast for this week is hot hot hot. Luckily the air-con here is really good, except in the laundry (as its a lean-to and slated for demolition, no air-con), unfortunately I can't just stay inside all week!
So today, with a relatively mild forecast of 33 degrees, I baked. Baguettes both to eat as-is and to make garlic bread for dinner. A loaf of fruit bread. Cupcakes to pop in the freezer and use as needed for school lunches. Pizza dough for dinner tonight. OMG it was the best pizza ever, I used one of the yummy preservative-free organic sausages we get, and cooked it, chopped it up really small and it flavoured the whole thing really nicely. Oh, and Alastair helped me make banana ice cream for dessert.
Tomorrow I am on parent roster in Emma's class: the first time I've ever been able to do it during her school life. My mum is watching Evie for me, which may not go well as Evie's been reeeally clingy of late. But if necessary my mum can just throw her in the pram and go strolling round the park. After that we are heading to the anti-GM rally at Parliament House. Evie is probably going to grow up to be a right-wing conservative and want to burn all these photos of her at 'hippy' rallies ;) After THAT we might head to Kings Park with friends for a bit of a play/coffee if there's time before school pick-up.
Wednesday morning I have a chiro appointment and then need to do the food shopping.
Thursday Alastair doesn't have school; not sure what we'll do.
Friday probably stay home and sort stuff.
Saturday, do all the weekend stuff because I'm busy Sunday and Monday (long weekend).
Sunday and Monday I'm co-ordinating the Australian Nappy Network's cloth info stall at the Hyde Park Festival. It's forecast to be over 41 degrees. Joy.
