Yesterday was good! The weather was LOVELY and I had a super day.
Even though we did not all get to go to the Purdue game I think it was still just great.
The guys (Robert and Sean) took off for Purdue around 9:00. I worked on some chores and got ready to go and pick up christinA around 11:00.
When I went to pick christinA up it was decided that yesterday was "take Skibby to the European Market with us day". (Logan had gone once before and one at a time is plenty!) So... the three of us headed over to Chesterton. The market was nice, as usual, though we think there were a few less booths. I found out that it will continue to be open until the end of October. I had thought it was the beginning of the month when it ended!
Items purchased: A Mango and Lime Salsa for the kids, Four soybean jar candles for each of us in wonderful fragrances, two pies to share from Marilyn's Bakery (it's wonderful!) - a Cherry Crumb and a Berry Berry, and homemade puppy biscuits for the four pups. I saw kitty things too but decided that Rudi would not like them very much. I also thought about peaches but also decided against those this trip... though they had white ones...
It was lovely and the music was great. (They have live bands) Skibby was a perfect gentleman! He's a great little dog.
When we got back to Valpo we picked up all the pups to bring over to my house. Then we chose some of christinA's artwork to be framed and headed over to the Great Frame-up with my 25% off discount card. It was fun deciding how to get the artworks framed.
While we were there we talked to the young man (one of them) who works there all the time. He's a musician as well as an artist and knows Sean and christinA. He loved a really fun drawing by christinA that was a parody kind of self-portrait that she did while in NYC. He said that it fit one of the songs that his band plays. He gave christinA the website to hear the music.
ALL of the things being framed are just wonderful.
Then we came back here and enjoyed the pups and the new computer. We even got to see a short video from the game, which by then PURDUE had won! (Sorry Ball State). Notre Dame was not doing well at all...
When the guys got home they told us that it had been fun. Only Robert looked a bit sun-burnt. I was happy to hear that a new Rowdy is back as a mascot. Next weekend is Homecoming. Of COURSE I will go to that game. Everyone watched the end of the Notre Dame game and played a bit with the computer.

Today Robert made another trip down to the river to try to get some brush burnt before the rains that are to come later on today. *BOO!!! to more rain right now!* It's pretty outside right now though.
I have lots of chores to do. I've done some, but I better get hoping with the others. I'd rather play though...
