Debbie: *I’ve been wanting to make this call for some time now, but always got distracted by something and forgot about it. Now that Sean is out and I've got some time for myself I sit down on the couch and dial Elijah’s number, waiting for him to pick up*

Elijah: *It's early morning and I'm still asleep when most people are getting to work. I think it's the alarm when I hear the phone ringing. After hitting the snooze button several times, and almost hitting the phone, I pick it up.* 'Lo?

Debbie: *I almost have to laugh at your sleep drunken voice* Hey, it is mum *I say happily*

Elijah: *I grunt, rolling over and opening my eyes.* Hi mom. You sound happy.

Debbie: I am happy while you don’t seem to be. *I chuckle*

Elijah: Sorry, mom. *I hold the phone away from my face as I yawn* Woke me up. It's... *I roll over and look at the clock, squinting* something after 8 here.

Debbie: Sorry honey. *I smile* So how have you been lately?

Elijah: Been ok... Not working, taking a much deserved break. *I chuckle*

Debbie: *I laugh lightly before I get serious again* I actually wanted to ask you something regarding Sean and my marriage.

Elijah: *I grope for my glasses and sit up in bed* Shoot, mom.

Debbie: *I take a deep breath* I wanted to ask if you'd walk down the aisle with me.

Elijah: Wow. *I speak without thinking.* Why not Zach? He's the oldest.

Debbie: Oh, actually, he will walk down the aisle with me too. I'd like to have both of you with me.

Elijah: *My face breaks out into a grin* I'd be honored to, mom.

Debbie: Thank you. *I grin, being relieved.*

Elijah: You're welcome, mom. So I'm going to catcha plane and come a bit early, is that ok?

Debbie: That would be great. I'll make sure that someone comes and picks you up from the airport, maybe Sean can do it.

Elijah: Tha'd be cool. I'll email you with the flight details. *I see the dog slinking into the bedroom and laugh* Gotta go, mom. I think the dog needs to be let out.

Debbie: Uhm, you better let him out then, before you have to buy another new couch. *I laugh slightly*

Elijah: Moooom! *I whine, laughing* Ok I'll see you soon. Love you, mom!

Debbie: Love you too! Bye! *I say happily as I hang up. I am glad you agreed to walking down the aisle with me*
