make that TWO!

Hey what do I call the items to make my computer network? Also what do I ask for when I want to add a 2nd set of speakers to my computer? Like a splitter type item? I also need to extend the speaker cables to reach into my tattoo studio. Is this hard? Poke poke poke.

PS the new bassist is cool and I'm THRILLEd that he's not a suckfest. :)

Let's see:

A Crossover Cable
A 1/8" Stereo Splitter (will work just fine, yep)
A 1/8" Stereo Extension cable (piece of the cake, yep)

I've heard from several sources that this new bassist is good news. Well that just kicks ass. Really, my only requirements at this point are: brushes his teeth, and shows up to pratice and/or shows. Excellent, I'll be glad to have a more stable 5 piece band again.

Thanks! I suppose the 1/8" extension cable plugs right in as opposed to the cutting/stripping/twisting I was expecting to do. Yeah! Oh with the crossover cable does this mean I can run two computers from one monitor? Like only one computer is actually attached to one computer but I can access and save to both machines? I'm thinking yes but am relatively stoopit aboot these thingies. I've got a desk downstairs I'm moving all my 'puter stuff onto so I've got painting room again! YES!

Yeah he's pretty rock. I think there's a practice this next weekend yes? You'll get to rock his nizzuts then and I think I'm going to dress him up like a 50's schoolgirl. :) I love my job.

Yes about the 1/8" ext. cable, and splicing/soldering that tiny of a wire is a pain anyway, trust me.

Hmm, the crossover cable would essentially allow you to have two computer that share resources, hard drives, and an internet connection, things like that.

If you wanted to run two computers with only one monitor, you'd need a KVM switch, which starts to get into money and bigger cables to run, which is no fun.
