Yay for winter gigs!
Today, I am loaded with cold... I have this (supposedly sexy) husky voice going on. Have to say though, "snots" are not really something I would associate with sexy :O/
Everyone and their granny seem to prefer touring in Winter; well the peeps that I like to listen to seem to anyway. I already have tickets for five gigs in the next seven weeks and there are some that I could easily add to the count but cannot justify the ridiculous price of the tickets. Linkin Park, for example, will be awesome live, and I really want to go, but at almost £50 I have refrained. If I am going to pay that much, from past record, it seems I prefer someone I can perv over get lost in watching while having a bit of a boogie ;O) [Ms Minogue I am taking about you]. I may have a hard time keeping the green-eyed monster under check when the little brother goes to the LP gig next Friday :Os
Anyway, back to tonight... I am EXCITED! :O)
Gig number one is the fantabulous Paloma Faith at the City Hall. She played the 02 Academy earlier in the year and was awesome. The City Hall is my preferred music venue so I cannot wait. I had a conversation about Paloma with my uncle John just the other night; he is amazed at her singing voice after hearing her speaking voice lol I heard "New York" live on the radio for the first time one morning at work, and went and bought the album at lunchtime. That is how much I like this girl.
She is completely mad, in the kooky kinda way, but we love her all the more for it! :O)
