Just a little something I needed to say.
It goes without saying that emergency and medical personnel are our everyday heroes, but the staff of NYU are a special kind of something after the back-up power failed in the storm. Walking PICU/NICU patients (including 20 babies) down 9 flights of stairs, in the dark, while manually using the ventilators to keep them alive, as ambulances lined around the block to transfer over 200 patients to other hospitals... I love you, you incredible beings! At the same time as this was going on, I hear at least Goldman Sachs was lit up like a beacon in the Manhattan blackout -Grotesque in comparison. We live in a crazy world.
Praying everyone made the transition to other hospitals.
