Manic Monday
Well, it sucks to be us today, and probably tomorrow... or whenever they get the blumin' systems back up and running!
They switched our main surveillance system offline on Friday lunchtime so we could upgrade the server, and do a little tlc. They expected the system to be offline for a couple of hours, and definitely be back up by the end of Friday afternoon. It is now getting on for the end of Monday afternoon, and still we have no access :O( The pile of work, that we cannot do anything with, is steadily building up, and I am not relishing the thought of the backlog that will appear once we can get on to extract the queued laboratory reports.
As I am limited with what I can do right now, I am frustrated because I cannot get on with a lot of my work. I am also struggling to stop myself from yawning every five minutes, as my body is relaxing too much, and I am getting a headache from the awful fluorescent lights :O(
While I'm in bitchy mode: Why do people at work keep asking me simple questions that they should already know the answers to?! I am not Google, nor am I here to walk people through their jobs on a daily basis. Similarly, I am not here to read procedures, and/or the whiteboard, aloud. I am fed up of answering the same questions, over and over. Shoot. Me. Now.
