Livejournal friends who also own a Tumblr account might be interested to know I now have one, too. Same name--mumblingsage.tumblr.com--but a rather different game. If for nothing else than because there acutall IS a game. I confess I've been very tardy in updating this blog, partly because I find the Tumblr platform easier to use and I've been logging most of my internet time on there. I indulge shamelessly in fandom, slash pairings, and pretty pictures. It's the ease of posting and sharing pretty pictures that I find most appealing, I think. For all I'm a writer, I often have difficulty expressing my own feelings and experiences in words. Pictures, video, quotes--so much easier. When it comes to expressing the feelings and experiences of the people who only exist inside my head, though...
On the writing front, for the month of March I am
a featured writer on AnthologyBuilder, which means any anthology including at least one of my stories is $1 off. And I happen to have
a short-story collection available there. I also will have fiction coming out at Beneath Ceaseless Skies and Semaphore magazine over the next few months. In the meantime, I'm trying to concentrate my writing and editing efforts on the novels, those problem brainchildren. It distracts me from biting my nails over whether my Pioneer Scholar application will go through. If it does, I will have the most awesome summer job in the world--basically an excuse to read a bunch of works on ethics and then write up what I think of them. Yes, that does sound awesome to me.
