This past Friday, my roomie and I hosted a holiday party. This past Friday, we served too much booze and ended up with a damn good time. It was in this rare occasion that inebriated people did not ralph on carpets, riot in the halls, or have beer goggle moments.
This Friday foils the moments of last Friday and the ER visual scars. I had all expectations of this party being fun and enjoyed mostly around the punch bowls, I was wrong on this account. And for once, it was best to be wrong.
My roomie had a few pals come up from his hometown to visit for the party. Granted everyone coming to the party was visiting, but thats besides the point. I met what can only be described as the perfect gal. From the moment I caught her eye and shook her hand I forgot I was supposed to be hosting a party. It's as if time took a back seat and we sat down to catch up on life.
I can honestly say that for the first time in a long time, I had a real conversation. The concepts of emotions, personal goals, and direction were exchanged instead of dumb jokes or Family Guy memories. To label it as refreshing would cheapen the time I had, it was what I forget ever existed. Truth, honesty, and a brain behind a belle.
I am hooked on a brown eyed gal. If I were lucky enough to gaze into them once, maybe I'll fall into her iris again.
