Time flies so slowly at home..

I couldn't imagine how slowly this summer would have wasted away if I'd been home for the length of it.  Given all the heat we've been having, and the lack of rain for the past several weeks, I woulda cracked...probably some point in mid-July.
Not to say I didn't crack for OTHER reasons, but hey, it's a public entry, so chances are, YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT IT hahahahaha.

Nah, I'm glad you didn't know.  Because personally, I'm still convince it was all for a loss.  Nothing is ever about a "win" with me, anyways.  I either end up with the "breakeven" or "loss" achievements.  But achievements are achievements, and......I'm an over-achiever in the end.

So lots to do in this week.
Went to a birthday party for a 5 year old, yesterday....didn't know it was a birthday party until AFTER we'd left...I figured we were just going to visit the family as we usually do about twice a year.  They have 2 sons, now aged 9 and 5....and are completely obsessed with me.  I duno if the obsession is normal, because they're kids.....or is it my fault?  I am 21 years old...

But hey, I don't care if you're 5, or 55, I go places to entertain if you seek me out.  And likewise, I can cater to any age group, it doesn't phase me.  Because, given the chance, I probably would have the MOST trouble associating with people of my own age group.  Why? I duno.  Nerves, I guess.  I always fear that the worst judgement of character stems from your peers, peers of the same age, same generation.  Because you could care less what the older generations think of you, and the younger ones, well, they either tend to respect/admire you, or consider you as their OWN older generation and not give a flying fuck.

So I had no problem at that birthday party, given the oldest kid was a whopping 9 years old, and the youngest adult was in his 40s.

And you just gotta love representin' the minority.

Today, I was suposed to go to the dentist? Uh.no.  So I told them I was still at school, and unable to make the trip.

Tomorrow, I have to get the PPD done again, for school.  Gah.  And my physical.  GAH.  And then send my car away to get repaired.  It's not giving me any REAL problems..well OK I've had the check engine light on and off intermittently since last March.  I got it taken care of, apparently, but it would still light up anyways.  So I ignored it.
But ever since the gas prices have gone up, I've noticed one thing...I'm going to the station MORE often than I did before...
Why?

I did the obvious math, and was shocked to find that last year, my car was going at roughly 34.3 mpg.....
Today, it goes at 17.1 mpg...
Any genius would tell you that's a 50% reduction in fuel efficiency.  So that MUST be a problem.  If anything, it's eating away at my wallet in more ways than one.  And since I've only put 13k on it, this sorta problem shouldn't even have happened.  So status of my car after tomorrow: unknown.  Hopefully it's a quick fix.

Rest of week...unsure.  I do have to get the research work done before the summer.  Which is by next week.  Near impossible but I don't know.  I gota do something, can't procrastinate forever.

End.  For now.
