Christmas in Kansas

Christmas 2006, Very Memorable! Well, Christmas Eve was very fun with the
3 Grandchildren 3,5 & 6! They behaved like little Angels and just loved their
new books and bookcases! (Yay! we did it right) Of course we broke down towards
the end of last week and picked up some toys too but educational ones! The other
Grandparents brought a shit-load of toys on Christmas to their house. Most will be
damaged or broken by Valentines day :-( So we are happy they will be able to
fall back on the books and DVD's we got.

We got a Wonderful surprise call from Lakini which got everyone going crazy
about planning for Prague..(Which we still aren't sure we can afford)..The night
would have been Perfect with Dan here piling logs on the fire with his little wine
glass in hand, chuckling at how stupid we all act on the holiday! :-) I think we
spoke about 3 times over Christmas Eve & Christmas which was great!! He ALSO liked our gifts!!

My Daughter got me Arbonne luxury items to beautify with (which I need badly!
LOL) I got STAR TREK (Part 2 DS9) Last year was part 1 Generations) My Floyd
got me every Figure with accessories and cards and he also got me a DS9 Station
that has tons of ships and even fires at things!!! A truly awesome collection to
add to my Generations Collection! He got me 40 Christmas presents!!!!!
What a GREAT husband!!! and…..may I add I got him a Flash drive for his
car Stereo with DVD player and a Yamaha Home Theater system that does
everything except cook meals! LOL..

Then, we went Christmas night to have Christmas with Floyd's relatives
(Minus our other 5 grown kids in Omaha which was sad cause they are awesome
and we always have fun with them)..UGH! We always dread it! It was last night.
Most were extremely annoying, extremely fat, and outright RUDE!!! ALL 50
of them!!! 20 of them, running, screaming Brats totally unsupervised from the
age of 3-10 ARRGGGGGG! (The little caged in playpen babies were very cute!)
I DID get Pirates Dead Man's Chest(With my man Johnny) in the Gift exchange
so at least THAT was good. We ate like pigs and came home exhausted! Another fine Christmas J

Might I add one depressing note: The loss of James Brown who was truly a great contributor to music in his prime! Some of you may or may not remember him but he was very HOT back in the day!

Also, of course Christmas was not totally Christmas without my Mother who passed away
3 yrs ago this coming January 29. She MADE the day and always made sure we all had
Christmas stuff for our Kids when money was tight. She loved Christmas and kept little
Christmas items up in various rooms of the house all year long! Merry Christmas Mom!!!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday!!! XXX MUM
