Workers Trapped in Mushroom FarmFive workers at Shifting Green's Subterranean Mushroom Farm are said to have been trapped in a tunnel after a a huge pane of blue glass suddenly rose out of the ground early this morning. The City is currently working to dig the five out before the frost settles in the ground. "We have every reason to be optimistic," said Mx. 311-R, 8, leader of the rescue operation. "We can clearly see the five behind the glass and they are all well and accounted for. We should have them out by noon, and they have access to nutrition and fluids. We do not at this time know what caused the glass to rise from the earth, but we have banned all use of magic on the grounds until it can be investigated in some detail."
Suspects Tied to Mafaton Riots DetainedThis paper has learned that two individuals have been detained by the Militia in association to the Mafaton Riots last month. It is not presently known where the two were found, but one of them is thought to be a powerful mage. The magic community has refused to confirm or deny any knowledge of missing people. Attempts have been made but this paper has been unable to reach the Militia for commentary.
Mafaton Sheriff's Office Seeks DeputiesAs Mafaton slowly rebuilds itself and grows back into a community the new Sheriff has decided it is time to recruit. Interested parties should head to Mafaton's Sheriff Office to apply. The Sheriff stresses that applicants should have a lot of patience, a good head on their shoulders and not be too squeamish. Xenians will get extra consideration.
