hay ya'll. i'm jakie. um. some of you know me us as Amy. Amy has this stupid rule that when we're in public we all have to go by the same name. So when we were getting drunk tonight everyone was calling me "amy" and i had to pretend it didn't bother me. We hate not being called by our names. Can't people tell the difference? We're so NOT

I'm Suz. I'm the body that The Posse lives in. The body is a mansion, with 17 rooms, one room for each member of The Posse. They are sometimes called alcoves too, which is cool. The Posse has been with me since age 4. All of their memories of that time and years down the road are still quite raw. We are older now, some of us, and we still remember what life was like as a little one. Scary sometimes, but we do the best we can.
We are about to see another therapist. We've been in therapy since age 12, so this is just another coin in the bucket. We've also been seeing psychiatrists since 2002. Such is life when you are a multiple. LOL.
Nice to meet you! I found this group on a website about multiples, and keep a regular journal here too. Feel free to add me as a friend. The more people me n' The Posse meet, the better our quality of life. Cheers!

Hey, maby you've already tried this, but I've got an idea. Could you get pictures of the people who expect all of you to know their names, label the pictures with the names (or pertinent information, like "my father"), put it all in a picture frame, and hang it on your bedroom wall? Then anyone who hasn't seen the faces would have a cheat sheet to help them know who's who.
Anyway, welcome to the community.

Oi... apparently there are a lot of therapists out there now who seem to think this? If what we've heard from friends is any indication. Medication doesn't make others in the system go away, it can just appear to have done so because it can break down system communication (we've had some experiences with this, and also known friends who have) so one person gets stuck out front and can't talk to the others. Then the doctors goes "Oh look, the other personalities are gone! That means you're getting better!" *eyeroll*
Don't get me wrong, if a system wants to take something for reasons other than to try to force integration, we're pro-choice about that. But... nooo, it just doesn't work the way your therapist thinks.
