Racked the mead again last night.
That stuff is going to be so good... The still mead is ready, but I think I'm going to wait until the methyglin is finished so I can bottle them together. Still just a bit of sludge at the bottom of the methyglin.
Starting to think that perhaps I overdid it a wee bit with the herbs. It's... strong. K and I are going to an apple orchard in two weeks. I was planning to get enough apples to make a few gallons of apple wine. Maybe I can make an extra gallon of apple wine to mix with the methyglin. Apples and honey?
Even if the methyglin turns out too strong to drink straight, it should turn into a pretty kickasstic mixer. I'm thinking maybe gin and methyglin, with a splash of tuaca.
Either way, I'm hella excited about the still mead. It's great. Now I wish I'd made more than a gallon. Time to start planning the next batch.....
