Progress made, but with one flaw...
Well, I've been working on this one for a while. I've got custom friends groups running, and not just perfunctory support in the posts - full management, at least for the most part. There's only one flaw in this and I'm still investigating it - I haven't gotten the program to successfully manage public versus private groups, only to respect and display their status. I may have to release the program in that condition on the first iteration, but I do want to fix it eventually.
I've looked at the interface for uploading pictures, and that's practically like writing a whole new client that's attached to this one. So I won't be doing it on this release, but it will be a priority for the second release. Incidentally, it's my humble opinion that the interface that a lot of other programs have for doing that job is ...e-hem... awful, so I'll attempt to do a better job.
I'm about at the point of needing beta testers, so if anyone wants a first shot at this thing, drop a comment on me, and we'll make arrangements. I'll have a web site up very soon now that will be accessible from multilj, too.
