(no subject)
A headset was accidentally switched on, loud clattering pointing to it having been thrown. The voices that spoke were not coming in clearly, and they seemed to be a notable distance away from the general range of the area. The first who spoke was an unrecognizable male. The other sounded like Goombario.
As the conversation went on, Goombario's voice came in louder and clearer, as if he was walking near the headset.
"...kidding, right, schnort?"
"No...have to get back out there."
"...in the arm! You can't...would be suicide."
"I'll be fine! You should...shelter. The school's safest."
"...leaving without my..."
Rustling. Now Goombario was completely clear, although now there was minor static when he spoke loudly.
"I'm not going back to the lake! [zzt] ...outta here."
Footsteps. The other person got in the last words.
"Stupid, schnort!"
Goombario said nothing in reply, but did grumble to himself. "Stupid thing's on."
The line cut out.
MARIO, HEY, MARIO.
JUST HAD AN IDEA.
Wanna meet up and fight them down together? It'll be like old times!
