I've got the writing bug again...

...and quite frankly, I've been wanting to know how this would play out for ages.

9:44 PM 2/11/08 · Much to the chagrin of a few people, I like putting up various aspects of my fandom against others no matter how unlikely the pairings might seem. For example, I've actually worked out how a tribble might actually be able to survive, and even prevail, against a Predator...

...but I'm thinking I'll save that for April Fool's Day!

The Predator is a formidable character. Driven, adaptive, powerful. Much as I like putting the concept to the test there is one thing that is equally formidable I've been idly toying around in the back of my head.

The werewolf.

Wrote a fanfic a little ways back, posted it Monday, and I'm feeling the bug to do more. Figured project #2 could be Hunter's Moon...which I've got more or less mapped out in my head with a decent beginning and an ending; still kinda need to work out the middle bits. I'm thinking it may be more of a continual piece, as I'm intending to finish it in time to post it by the 20th of this month which is the next full moon.

Just wanted some input here:

Species: Predator
Physicality: 7 to 8 foot tall, characteristics partially reptilian and crustacean, dreadlocked, heavily muscled, clawed, calculating, killing machine
History: It has been rumored the predators hunted the dinosaurs into extinction and whether or not that is actually true, one thing is certain. They are quite possibly the greatest hunters that have ever existed. Guided by a brutal yet honorable code, Preds seek out the deadliest of prey and test themselves in overcoming them. They tend to take trophies, often the skull and sometimes the spine. Their technology is scary advanced from the human norm.
Specifics: For the sake of this situation I'm developing a new Pred, tentatively named Voracht. He will be just finishing up a previous hunt when he suddenly finds himself prey.

Species: Werewolf
Physicality: Two forms: a human form of good to athletic condition and a 7 to 8 foot tall broiling, heavily muscled, running on an unlimited supply of adrenaline, clawed, force of living destruction
History: There's never been a definitive adressing of the origin of what makes weres, or why they are so far ranging as not to be limited to just wolves. I've always assumed in ancient times an animal likely ate something it should not've, something demonic, or was possessed by a dark spirit. In either case, werewolves are generally more animalistic than intelligent, or an amazing blend of the two. Their ferocity is unrivaled and the sheer power they can bring to bear is hard to believe. Werewolves can heal from virtually any wound, even dimemberment, in seconds to minutes depending on the extent of the damage.
Specifics: In full form werewolves are virtually unstoppable. They have only two known weaknesses, being silver or wolfsbane; the latter being the least well known and takes some preparation. In certain cases sufficient physical damage has been known to bring a were down but it isn't common for even that to kill one without silver being involved.

I'm intending to xpost this fanfic, and the sequel at the full moon after that, to both
Aliens·&·Predator &
Werewolves·Howl

Thoughts?

fanfic, predator, werewolves
