Just like me
Other than that last minute which my VCR didn't record, I'm watching last week's episode of Heroes again and I just noticed something.
Not really sure how I missed it before.
While I'm sticking with my thoughts on why Sylar doesn't have his powers...it appears he doesn't not have all of them. That weird thing with his voice, that odd quality he has occasionally when he speaks, he did it. Just before he killed Candace, or Michelle or whatever, he leans in close as though to kiss her but slides his lips to her ear instead. He says "Just like me" in that voice.
I've often wondered what it is that powers the abilities of our favorite emo·sapiens and while I'm no closer to a specific, though I'm sticking with what kicked off their abilities to begin with, this may be a hint. Perhaps the voice thing, whatever it is (fairly sure it's got nothing to do with Eden), is a minor ability. Maybe it requires so much less energy than all the other powers that it still works when everything else he can do, so far as we know, is blocked.
So, he can still sound really creepy.
