9:00 PM 10/1/10 · With some of the previews I've been seeing (don't read the magazines) I've had a sense of how things were going to be shaping up. Still, only 2 episodes into Smallville's final season and they're bring elements in fast.
The introduction of a perky Cat Grant was interesting but not a big deal; way too perky from the scandal girl I'm used to. Mentions of Glorious Godfrey pretty much confirmed the rest...
...Darkseid is coming.
Finally identified in name, the Suicide Squad made their appearance with one suprise in the form of one of the last surviving Kryptonite mutated kids from the earlier seasons. I was very surprised by the introduction of Deadshot. Mostly in that it was a good introduction of the character but they failed on one point.
Deadshot would never use bullets that were mini·guided missiles! He's obsessive about his aim.
A point Green Arrow made about the cost of always being in the shadows took things in a very cool direction. Clark, who still is annoyingly not flying, is wearing a variant suit. Red and blue but a stylized 'S' jacket and pants.
Baby steps.
