Insofar as I've seen, which admittedly isn't much, I don't have a huge issue with the soon to be released Predators. I've got a downloaded script which I still haven't read, had it over 2 months now. However, there is one thing I spotted in the first trailer which was also in the most recent one as well which is a kind of sore point for me.
Granted, novels and comics are not exactly canon. Like in how so much of the fandom incorrectly calls the Hunters 'Yautja' which was an invention of one of the most popular writer of the Predator novels and not actually something the creators of the creature had in mind. Still, if you've been folling the most recent comic series AvP: Three World War then you know the Preds have a serious rule about not using hunting animals to accompany them on their hunts...
...and yet we seem to hAve that very thing in this film:
I could be wrong. Could just seem that way in how the trailer has laid things out. I've just seen a couple scenes where it appears there's one of these things alive in close proximity to one of the Hunters and they're not trying to kill each other. Also that the creature seems to be wearing some form of harness.
Predator version of a dog leash?
Just my 2¢ on this.
