I'm a little confused

...when and how exactly J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, died!
Where's Wally West? Why and how exactly is Barry Allen alive and running around as the Flash again??
I've only seen a couple issues about the whole Blackest Night situation. As I'm xposting this, and some of you may not know, the War of Light has gone to that lovely old place where zombies tend to dwell. Except these aren't shambling brain dead flesh craving freaks.
Okay, the War of Light involves other colors of Green Lantern Rings. Without going into the whole emotional descriptions there's green, red, yellow, blue, indigo, orange, purple, and up until just recently I think that's about it.
The recent thing, involving the ressurection of the dead, are black rings!
So far I haven't seen the rings do much more than bring the dead back to life. I'm unsure if its just the animated flesh, acting on what knowledge was stored in the brain, or if the soul is returned to the form...though the last seems unlikely. Haven't seen the rings function as the other rings do, forming constructs and the like, but that may be that those I've seen brought back have more than enough powers of their own.
So far I've only seen Green Lantern #'s 43 & 44. The latter of which had the whole checklist.

Seems a little odd that Batman wasn't resurrected. All that happened with him was that his skull was stolen. Unless they just wanted to bring his brains back and not his body...but where would they put the ring?
