Oh! Oh this is just perfect.

I love the way you captured Bellatrix's boldness, the way she spreads herself over the furniture - always larger than life. I love the reference to apple pie (and the desire to set things on fire.) I even love that Cissa admits that Lucius might be happier married to Bellatrix.

But-

Even more than that, I love that Narcissa is so protective of her baby. That she wants Draco to be more than a Dark Army soldier. That she wants him to live.

I love the physicality of this piece, how focused Narcissa is on the space that Bella inhabits and the way that she moves. And I just adore all of her frustration that pervades beneath everything, you really captured her voice here so perfectly.

Narcissa is written perfectly, like I love her so much and you did so well in showing all the things I love about her character.
Bella is great as well, and I love her "for the cause" mindset. she's bold and rash and devil-may-care and wonderful.

Ugh what a good story. I love the apple pie reference, it was just a cute little thing that was cute!

I love how you describe them and their actions and how they're so very different and yet, so love on another and care, just in their own ways. How Blacks are taught to love. I love the little moments, Narcissa wondering if she is a half or a whole person and which one is real, and the mark and seeing it so pointedly (because of course Bellatrix wouldn't cover it up unless she had to), and Bellatrix being happy about the baby and what he will be. And Narcissa just wanting him to be happy.

And just everything in between was perfect.

I love it!
