Note to self: UPDATE THIS DAMN THING MORE THAN ONCE A MONTH.
Anyways... on to the actual update:
As none of you know, Thanksgiving this year was great. I got to see my family again and hang out with my cousins for the first time since last year. However, the ride there wasn't so awesome. As usual, it took us 8 1/2 hours of straight driving to get up there. The only difference this year was that 1) We drove through the entire night, and 2) I drove through the entire night!
Benjamin had a basketball game Wednesday night until about 9:30, so I drove down to my parent's house and we left around 10 that night. My mother decided to take the first shift, so I sat in the back and listened to music for about an hour, trying to relax about having someone else driving my car. Then she got a little tired and asked me to take over. I started driving at about midnight, and didn't stop until we finally got there at 7:30! :P
We stayed at
Brian's house this year, which was wonderful. We got to play games and hang out like we used to do in the summer, which was a lot of fun. The only problem was that I spent the whole week in a daze, due to my lack of sleep because of driving and playing video games with Brian. I spent the whole time running on nothing more than sugar and adrenaline.
It was a great time, though. Andrew and I had planned to go to Boston late Thursday night, but we ended just hanging out in Burlington (his hometown), instead. Boston would have been awesome, but because of the holiday, everything was shut down, and it was raining pretty hard. There are some pretty cool places in Burlington, though. He showed me this hospital where my Aunt Kathy used to work. It's located on the very top of a gigantic hill that overshadows the entire city. From up there, you could see for miles; it was beautiful. Since it was closed, there was no way to get to the roof, but the view from outside was amazing. We still ended up having an awesome time that night, even though I didn't get to experience the big city. I guess there's always next year!
Since getting back home, school has been taking all of my time and energy. I also recently got a sweet job, and am finally making money again! :)
I'll have to update this more, since I haven't done it in so long, but at the moment I have no energy left whatsoever, and I completely lost my ability to think a few hours ago.
Time to sleep! Working again tomorrow ;)
