Saw a few shows on Friday, and I have to update my taping schedule. First, what I saw...
What I like About You is on the WB network, and it was ok. It's got Jennie Garth (of Beverly Hills, 90210...a show that I loved) and Amanda Bynes (from The Amanda Show and various other Nickeloden shows). It's one of those shows where you don't have to think...pretty girls and simple humor. It also had a couple "chick flick" moments, which I could have done without (which is odd cause I've got more sap than maple syrup). Overall, not bad...but definitely not enough to keep me from watching Bernie Mac.
The series priemiere of Twins followed, and, before I say anything else, Melanie Griffith has still got it. Sara Gilbert (who plays the plain, awkward looking twin) is amazing. She's got one of the better dead pans that I've seen of late. And at the end, I felt like there was a good reason I had watched it. This is a nice little comedy, and I highly suggest you give it a shot.
At 8 PM on FOX (It's typically on Thursdays), there is the show Reunion. And OMG, it is AMAZING! The plot just took hold of me, and just get kept getting deeper and deeper. I also like the premis of having one episode take one year. It seems interesting, and I honestly have no clue where it is going. Which I like. The only thing that bugs me is the dialogue is shotty at times, but it doesn't take enough away from the show. And I have been wondering how they are going to extend this show, since it is gold and it would be a tragedy if it had but one season.
Happy TV Watching!
Bob
PS: Everybody Loves Raymond is fucking hilarious. Why has it taken me til now to watch it regularly?
