Bruce (the man) Campbell rocks me hard
this is cut and pasted from my bme page, mainly for Lacey, but yeah, here goes
Nikki and I left for Toronto at about 230 monday afternoon (in hindsight we should've left at around 930 in the morning) to go to the Bruce Campbell book signing on Bloor West, we met up with Curtis outside of the store like 5 minutes after we got there (i havent seen Curtis in years and he's still the sexy beast that he always was) got a big hug from him and we headed off to Silver Snail (once again, in hindsight we should've just stayed where we were) we looked around Silver Snail for about 20 minutes, Curtis got a couple comics including House Of M #1 for me and Nikki got a comic, i can't believe that for once i made it out of that store without spending any money, but these things can and obviously do happen, from there we headed off to find something to eat so we went into a little British pub and i got a grilled cheese with bacon and a salad instead of fries (well i'm trying slowly to eat a little better...no fries, thats a start right?) when we were done there and i pretty much paid for everyone's meal (Curtis pitched in $5 and Nikki the $4 tip) we headed back up to the book store for the signing, and holy fuck was it ever packed, we waited in line for almost 4 hours (the entire time with Curtis bitching...i still love you Curtis...and him reading every magazine he could find sitting around the place) we also saw Bobby in line...but it was all worth it in the end when i got to meet Bruce, he shook my hand and asked what my rune tattoos on my arms meant (everyone does) and shook my hand again, when i was walking away he said "I love your shirt, nice and happy" i laughed and so did he cause i was wearing my Nora shirt with the Geisha girl with the knife through her head on it...after another big hug from Curtis we parted ways and Nikki and I began the drive home...and fuck did that ever suck, twice on the QEW it went from three lanes to just one, that fucking caused a shit long delay, but at least we werent standing in a huge line up still...when we got back we went to L3 for about half an hour and Mike was there, so i shot the shit with him for a bit, which is always nice because since Mike moved to Welland i never see him anymore and he's never on iam because he doesnt have a computer...after that Nikki drove me home and i got a big hug from her and thanked her for taking me up to see Bruce for my birthday and buying me his new book...such a good day, now i cant sleep cause i keep thinking about how much fun i had...ok thats enough...later
